Lady Knights collection Fulfillment Updates

Thank you so much for your patience and support! This page is where I’ll share the most recent updates for this collection, so you can easily check where things are at!

Current Stage
Last updated : May 6th 2026

I received all gray shield backpacks & gray helmet bags in April. About 80 were shipped by the end of April. Those customers received an email by Shopify ( check your emails / junk folder )

I received a gray dress shipment on may 6th and will fulfill orders with gray dresses on may 7th ( always from oldest to newest )

I expect next some cartons with gray blade chestplates, gray blade belts, gray roses belts, gray roses collars. Those represent about 80% of the unfulfilled orders and so due to volume, I expect it will take me a few weeks to pack and get everything out, especially since I have to manually make all US labels and fill out multiple forms due to the tariffs. (The vast majority of orders are from the US.)

I expect next the Green helmet bags

I expect the remaining green and red pieces to get here by the end of next month

*carriers haven’t been very reliable when it comes to etas so if anything changes I will let you know here

Orders shipped

Approximately half of the Lady Knights orders have now been shipped.

Keep in mind that I got several hundreds of orders for this collection, and I always ship from oldest to newest

Tracking emails are sent automatically by Shopify once shipping labels are created

A note from me

Hi I’m Rebecca— the artist and sole owner behind Folkloress

Folkloress operates primarily through preorder and crowdfunding collections, which allows me to create highly detailed, small-batch fantasy pieces that would not be possible otherwise due to extremely high production costs.

I personally handle every part of the business, from creation to order fulfillment, and everything in between!

Because of the scale and complexity of these collections, fulfillment timelines can sometimes shift unexpectedly, especially since I work with a manufacturer overseas.

I know that the wait for Lady Knights has been much longer than initially estimated due to all the challenges that arose in 2025. I truly appreciate everyone’s patience and support throughout this process

FAQs

Why are you releasing new collections when fulfillment of this collection isn’t finished?

Folkloress operates through a preorder and crowdfunding model, due to very high production costs.
Designing and preparing future collections also happens many months in advance and often overlaps with fulfillment of older collections due to long production timelines and working with a manufacturer overseas. While fulfillment is still ongoing behind the scenes, work on upcoming projects continues simultaneously.
As a one-person artist-run business, I balance designing, production management, customer service, fulfillment, and future launches all at once.
That said, fulfillment always remains a major priority, and I continue working on orders daily while preparing future collections.

This business is my only source of income too.

Why does packing / fulfilling orders takes you several weeks?

Folkloress is a very small independent business operated by me alone.

Unlike large companies with warehouse teams, every order is packed, organized, quality checked, labeled, and prepared manually by me. Large collection launches can involve hundreds or thousands of items that arrive at different times and must be sorted carefully.

Many orders also contain multiple products that cannot ship until all items in the order are available.

Because of the volume and complexity of these collections, fulfillment often happens in shipping batches over several weeks rather than all at once.

Why was this collection delayed?

The delay surrounding Lady Knights was caused by an unusual series of logistical and personal circumstances that unfortunately compounded over time in 2025.
During the summer, severe floods in my area forced me to move twice before finally relocating to my current home. Because of this instability, I was unable to safely receive the mass order at the time and had to ask my manufacturer to temporarily hold the shipment until my situation stabilized.
Shortly afterward, new tariffs and customs-related changes created additional uncertainty and delays within international shipping channels, and especially since my shipments had to arrive at US territories. Around the same period, the Canada Post strike placed a significant strain on private couriers during an already extremely busy holiday season.
As a result, many cartons experienced extended delays at ports, customs checkpoints, shipping facilities and borders before continuing transit.
Final delivery was also slowed by severe winter weather conditions. I live in a rural area on an island in Quebec, and multiple shipments experienced repeated weather-related delivery delays throughout the winter.
Despite all of this, fulfillment has been actively ongoing, and approximately half of orders have already been shipped.
I truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding throughout this unusually difficult fulfillment period, and I remain fully committed to completing all remaining orders as carefully and efficiently as possible.
